ARTcrylic Sessions featuring Scotty76

Being flexible and working at unrestricted speeds are characteristics that many contemporary artists aspire to achieve. While working with the new Montana ACRYLIC marker range for the Montana Cans ARTcrylic sessions, German artist Scotty 76 did just that. Working fast paced with no slowing down, Scotty created a mixed media canvas combining Montana GOLD cans, with the new ACRYLIC markers as well as the ACRYLIC refil inks applied through an airbrush and with a brush. Capturing the essence of the streets with the tools of today, this is how his session evolved.

1.Can you tell us something about your person, your background and history?
————————————————————————————————————————————————–
My Name is Scotty 76 and I was infected with the hip hop virus around 1987, i used to be a B-boy and graffiti writer since these days, but I already painted a lot when I was a little boy.
In my family were many artists/painters, so I think it was in blood since day one. In the mid 90´s i became a member to the legendary Phunk Masters crew led by my mentor Kane, where I learned all my graf skillz from. I was pleased to travel all around the world due to my artworks, that’s one thing im feeling really happy about and I still try to get the best out of me every day.

3.Is there a difference between indoor and outdoor work?
————————————————————————————————————————————————–
Maybe the size and the weather, but painting is painting to me and when i paint i slip anyways into my own world…

4.Your feedback on the new ACRYLIC Markers?(especially the use with airbrush)
————————————————————————————————————————————————–
This paint is fantastic, it works great, nice and smooth with my airbrush gun! The fast drying acrylic color goes easy threw the gun and you are really flexible with that. Also the markers with the different tips and the fact that you can work with the same colors in the Montana Gold Can range are a great opportunity! Also the mixing of colors is really easy which makes the workflow a lot more pleasant. So after all I can say im really impressed with the quality!
