And here is the video of the Montana ARTcrylic Session “Backpiece Edition”.
Being flexible and working at unrestricted speeds are characteristics that many contemporary artists aspire to achieve. While working with the new Montana ACRYLIC marker range for the Montana Cans ARTcrylic sessions, German artist Scotty 76 did just that. Working fast paced with no slowing down, Scotty created a mixed media canvas combining Montana GOLD cans, with the new ACRYLIC markers as well as the ACRYLIC refil inks applied through an airbrush and with a brush. Capturing the essence of the streets with the tools of today, this is how his session evolved.
Finally the lost video from Cantwo´s “Alphabet wall in October 2010 was found again and we are more than happy to show it to you. Here are also some words from the man himself:
“In 2009 MadC asked me to contribute an alphabet for her „Street Fonts“ book project. It was clear to me that I would not want to create an alphabet in a usual sense but rather do a complete illustration. Because I was really satisfied with the result, it was itching in my fingers to transfer the illustration to a large wall. I managed to finish the whole wall within a week in October. Thanks out to Manuel from MOS for allocating the wall and to Dubiz from Australia for his helping hand at the wall.

The second part of our ARTcrylics Session with Ikaroz from Stockholm! Videos and pictures after the jump:
IKAROZ from Stockholm, Sweden worked 3 days in our Montana Laboratories with a lot of different techniques and tools like brushes, markers, primer, spraycans and solvent. Using them on canvas, wooden plates and other undergrounds. What a great and impulsive mixed media session! Interview, Video and more pictures after the jump:
To celebrate the launch of the new Montana water-based ACRYLIC Marker range, we thought it best to send some key artist’s back to the lab, to workshop the range put it the test. The first artist was Sebastian Dumjahn a.k.a. Sellout Industries.
Residing in Nuremberg, Germany, Sebastian is as a graphic designer for Adidas, who focus’s on illustrations, typography and apparel design. Also previously featured for the Montana Cans artist series t-shirts, Sellout Industries utilzed the chance to trial the Montana ACRYLIC Markers by customizing a pair of Adicolor sneakers. The markers covered perfectly on the untreated sneakers and the end result was an impressive pair of street smart shoes. You can see how the Sebastians working process and the final result’s of how the sneakers looked here.
Our friend Benjamin Keck designed this posters for each of our Montana Stores around the globe. Using the colored Donuts on top of the Cans, he creates a “dot-matrix” font. Here we present you a view behind the scenes of the working process.
Recently we were involved in a little project where some local friends of ours created a limited edition hand printed T-shirt run, with a “Shake Well” design. If you have never seen how the screen printing process works, take a look at what happens behind the scenes. Sorry incase your wondering, the shirts are not for sale..
After we presented you alredy the pictures from our Canvas Cube at Stroke Artfair, we have now finished the motion pictures of this event! Press play and see Superblast and Steffen Seeger in action with our new Montana ACRYLIC Markers & Paint!
