TheSicksystems & Stylekonstruktor

MONTANAPPAREL is proud to present the latest collection spring 09 done by the russian design collective TheSicksystems & Stylekonstructor. The Sicksystems consist of three members: Aske, Kola and Kio. Since starting out as a graffiti crew in 2003, they have taken an active part in developing Russia’s graffiti scene and, unlike many other writers, have always followed their own way.

Today, besides graffiti, they do graphic design, modern graphics, illustration and many other things.
The Sicksystems don’t want to limit themselves to being just writers, graphic designers or artists, but want to combine in what they do all of these. They often take part in exhibitions and graffiti jams, as well as collaborate with different brands, both small independent ones and big corporations like Nike. Their main objective is to enjoy what they do, no matter whether these are personal projects or commercial ones. In their designs for MONTANAPPAREL Aske and Kio tried to express their perception of graffiti through the prism of their own style.

Stylekonstruktor: „Scheme (Stylekonstruktor). Was born and lives in Moscow. Studies and works as a freelancer. Graffiti-active since year 2004. Interested in illustration, photography, sculpturing, typography, customizing... Stylekonstruktor was founded in 2007 by artists Oskes and Scheme, living and working in Moscow, Russia. Originally it was a project for Planet Prozess exhibition in Berlin. The idea was that visitors could line up their names using cubes with ?yrillic letters. Each cube side had it‘s alphabet, it‘s style. The project as such revealed the core – achievement of harmony through construction of different styles. Oskes later left the project due to desire to change the direction of his activity and some disagreements inside the crew.
