Xstatic Festival Split

The Xstatic Festival took place in Split, Croatia. Besides the Bmx and Skatesection there was a huge graffiti session featuring Sub, Emit, Ewok, Does, Nash, Wow123, Kent, MadC, Akril, Pem, Hawk, Dam, Swet and many more...Check the pictures after the jump:

Just Writing My Name meets...Jim & Code

The last "Just Writing My Name meets..." was done with Jim and Code in the north of germany. Here is a small rundown from JIM 129, how everything went down for this burner wall:

I was asked to take part in the "Just Writing My Name" - project and was in it immediately. What an offer: Free Cans and the option to do what I want. I called up my crewmate Code and he was up to it too. We were not sure which wall we should do. But it was clear that we had to do a special wall....

Misspelled by Victor Reyes

Robert Berman / E6 Gallery is pleased to present MISSPELLED, an alphabet by Victor Reyes, handmade in California. The ambitious public art installation turned gallery exhibition explores the artists’ unique approach to graffiti, by dissecting individual letters and exploring the anatomy and architecture found in the symbols we use to communicate. Inspired by San Francisco’s streets, surfaces, and overall visual vibrancy, Reyes reinterprets the letters and presents them to us in a brilliant array of color and movement. These alphabets, recontextualized on various abandoned surfaces around the city, are not intended to provide answers, but to raise questions about how we interpret public spaces and the content assumed within. The exhibition runs from July 7, 2010 til August 14, 2010.
