Montana Cans Cap Overview
The nozzle of a can (aka the "cap") is an essential part of the spray can. Each cap has its own characteristics and when applied to different cans, these characteristics themselves can vary. Some caps are developed for use on low-pressure cans, others for high-pressure cans. We have a cap for all occasions, whether you want to spray skinny or fat, round or square, dirty or clean, soft or fast.
It may be the case that one particular cap is ideal for one job you're doing, and alternative cap is best for another. If you’re not sure where to start, try our "Cap Sets". Available in Try Out and Level Caps, these sets allow users to use a broad spectrum of sizes and shapes enabling them to experience the characteristics of each and hone in on the caps that best suit their needs. If applied to Montana ACETONE spray straight after painting, your caps can be cleaned for continuous re-use.
When choosing your caps, remember to consider if the can you are using has a female or male valve? A can with a female valve has no plastic valve stem protruding out of the top of the can. This is the most common of cans and only takes male caps that have a small valve stem that enter the can. A can with a male valve has a plastic stem protruding out of its top, and thus can only be used with female caps. Click below to learn the traits and characteristics of each cap.
